Sveti Lovrec nestles in the immediate hinterland of Vrsar and Porec. It is one of the best preserved medieval fortified towns in Istria. The town was named after the small church St. Lawrence built in the 8th century.
Prunella (also known as self-heals) is a herbaceous plant from the family of Lamiaceae. The flowers are either violet or yellowish-white. It is believed that the self-heals has antiseptic, antibacterial and antioxidant properties.
