Villa Arctium
Sveti Lovrec nestles in the immediate hinterland of Vrsar and Porec. It is one of the best preserved medieval fortified towns in Istria. The town was named after the small church St. Lawrence built in the 8th century.
Arctium has large heart-shaped or egg-shaped leaves, which are green on the upper side and gray-white on the underside, covered with small hairs. The flowers are purple, tubular and joined in bloom. It is believed that Arctium has medicinal properties, especially in the treatment of various skin diseases.
